Sherbrooke, QC

Steph had some work to do in Sherbrooke, Quebec (about 2 hours from where we live) so the kids and I decided to tag along since they had a school ped day.

It was overcast and a bit rainy but we decided to do a scenic walk that is mapped out for tourists.  The plan is to find all the murals indicated on the map.  It took us about 3 hours to do the entire thing but there may have been a quick stop for a “cafĂ© et croissant”.  The murals were really well done, right down to the writing / dates / headlines on the newspapers (seen in the fire station scene).  Keep in mind that these are just paintings – everything you see, including the windows are painted.

Back at the hotel, the kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub and a lovely hotel breakfast (Naomi loved having her morning oj in a fancy wine glass and Francis was impressed with the art work).

What beautiful murals! Love how the family interacted with them! Heh...I think my fave though is the one near the falls where Francis is all cool and Naomi has that adorable, frightened look on her face. The one feeding the horse is sweet too!

Hmmm...Sherbrooke might be a place to add to our travel wish list!
