2010 Olympic Torch Relay

A week ago the Olympic Torch Relay came through our neighbourhood on it's way to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, BC. A huge party was held in its honour and we had so much fun! There was a huge stage with live dancers and musicians and Coke was there taking pictures of families holding one of the official Olympic torches - they were also passing out special Coke bottles with the Olympic logos and light up Coke bottles. There were food stations selling hot chocolate and other typical Canadian treats. What a fun event!

Hey Julie, my husband actually was a torchbearer last Thursday in Cote St. Luc. Will be posting about it on my blog shortly. Wasn't it great?

That is so exciting!! I remember very well seeing the torch being run past us many moons ago. Your kids will always remember that.

Your kids are adorable. I wish Luci would go visit Santa the way Naomi did (even bribes didn't work for us).

Have fun on your cruise! Can't wait to hear how it is.
