It's Wednesday night here. Everyone is sleeping and I am trying to catch up on emails and the blog. Stephan did the last post if you did not guess. We are all doing well. Still tired but overall good. We are getting used to Naomi and her routine. She eats well, table food, yogurt, baby food, etc but will not drink any formula. I have tried it hot, warm, cold, in a bottle, sippy cup, glass, mug. She won't have it. She won't drink anything but water from a glass or a water bottle. When she was handed to me she had a plum in her hand and managed to eat the entire thing by using her 1 tooth. Oh, she LOVES Cheerios and these little round baby cookies here that melt in your mouth.
Guiyang is a fascinating city. Partly modern skyscrapers partly old world. It is not uncommon to see people with baskets on their backs or cows or chickens in the road. Entire families ride together on 1 motorcycle while talking on a cell phone. The people are very kind and we draw quite a crowd wherever we go - especially Francis and Thomas, people are forever rubbing their heads and taking their pictures.
Today we went to an ancient village - can't find the name right now. It was really neat to see how traditional homes were like. We also ate at Pizza Hut - I know, it's weird as we can have it at home but we have been eating Chinese food for every meal since we arrived so it was a nice change.
For those of you coming to China soon - consider a good carrier. I love mine. It is a total godsend. I use it all the time and even at night I strap Naomi in and walk the halls until she falls asleep - works like a charm. Worth every penny I spent.
