Happy Holidays!!

Well, it's 10:25 pm and all is quiet. I have a belly full of turkey and Santa just finished setting all the presents under the tree. I'm sitting here enjoying the tranquility as I know tomorrow will be a whirlwind.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Blogger Beta Blah!

I have made a horrible mistake. A week or so ago I made an uninformed choice to switch to Blogger Beta. What was I thinking??? I work for a software company for goodness sake - I know the horrors of beta software!!
What do I hate the most about it? Well, to start, when you sign in it does not remember your login and password. Even if you check the little box that says remember my password. Every time I want to comment on someone's blog I have to sign-in again - often loosing the message that I have posted!! The other thing is that only people who are on Blogger Beta can comment on my blog - everyone else has to comment as anonomous!!
If only I could click my heels 3 times and go back!!!

'tis the season!

I can’t believe that we are about a week away from Christmas!! I feel like time is speeding by at warp speed! Between the shopping, baking, parties and other events there is barely time to think about the adoption, let alone update my blog! I’m not quite finished my shopping yet *sigh* but I’m ALMOST finished!! Yay!

On Sunday we have a Christmas party with our adoption group. It’s not going to be easy to spend 3 hours with a roomful of adorable Chinese children – especially since last year I thought for sure my daughter would be attending with us this year. I came close to cancelling a few times but luckily some “waiting” friends will be there as well and we will just have to get each other through it! And for sure NEXT YEAR she will be here!

It's a boy, and a girl! and a girl! and a girl!

I am proud to announce that my friends Chantal and Nestor had their first child on Friday December 8th! They have named him Matthias.

It sure has been a week for new children! 3 of the blogs I follow have met their children this week. Sean and Jen finally met Xin Min after a very long wait! Julie has Tess in her arms at last and Lisa and Eammon have finally met Masie!

And the neat thing? All these people just became parents for the first time!! Congratulations to all the new mom's and dad's and welcome little ones!

Secret Pal revealed!

On Friday I received my last gift from my DTC secret pal swap and I found out that all this time my secret pal has been Christine Warner! Thank you Christine for all the great stuff you have been sending me over the past months. I really enjoyed the swaps and I am kind of sad to see them come to an end.

Just look at all the neat stuff she sent this time. A sweet pink butterfly outfit, a scrapbook, some ladybug barettes, a baby Einstein CD, asome pink socks, a book about China, a bookmark with the Chinese character for Wisdom, a paint set, fuzzy panda stickers, a journal, a piggy bank and a Noah's Ark t-shirt from the Columbus zoo!

Thank you secret pal!!
