Amazing Race

So am I the only one who was glued to the TV last night watching the Amazing Race? I was so excited to see that they were going to Beijing! I didn’t even want to blink and miss a moment of the Beijing sights! Ok, was I the only one gagging watching them eat those fish eyes? Delicacy or not, I am definitely going to learn how to say “no fish eyes please” in Mandarin before I leave!

p.s. Check out Naomi's new lamp in Naomi's Nursery!

Hi hi, I almost called you to see if you had your tv openend! Sorry to say, but I have a feeling the fish eyes aren't the worst thing out our north american standard that is.

Love ya!

Yes! "No fish eyes please!" is not on Mandarin for Adoptive Parents!

I was psyched too! Both for AR and for them being in Beijing. Kept saying to Dan, "We're going to be there soon!"

Keep smilin!

Oliver and I definitely tuned in too! We were so excited to see the Forbidden City and the Great Wall and reminisce! Can't wait for next week!

They did teach us how to say "No dog, please" in our Mandarin course .... unfortunately they left out "No live eel. No yak stomach. No purple colored, vinager smelling, eggs., and "I am not keen on soup with duck heads floating in it." Who knew?!?! :)

I called my travel companion and said, "turn on the TV NOW! China is on! Now!" and hung up. I was so excited. I really like the father/daughter team, but I haven't decided who I'm rooting for yet.

My neighbors are Vietnamese and they love the fish eyes, even the 10 yr. old. She says that have the most flavor.

Go figure!
